RED NIKE LONG SLEEVE

There is not so much to say about this upcycle, except for the fact that once I got both these items I immediately knew this is what I wanted to create out of them. And it worked out just as I wanted, which is an uncommon thing for me ;) Wear it oversized or fitting, any way it will be just a little more special than a simple long sleeve.

BLUE TRIPPY LINES - LIGHT DENIM

When I was walking around at the Skeershop I found this denim blouse with snap buttons which I thought would be perfect to paint on. Since there was a bleached stain on the front I decided to bleach dye it and paint the trippy line pattern on the back and on the front pocket. The colors turned out just as sick as I hoped, and now it's ready to be worn again!

TRIPPY LINES SUIT

Yes, I love making trippy lines as it is like some sort of meditation while working on it. Making this pattern by hand takes lots of time, but I enjoy every part of the process. This two piece black suit with trippy yellow lines is something that will make you look professional, but shows you think outside of the box.

CHECKERED JEAN JACKET

I found this jean jacket cropped into an uncomfortable length in a thrift store and thought I could make it work again. The checkered fabric is one my mom had been saving for a long time and adds nicely to the denim. I've also added a pocket (which I think any jacket should have) and created some patches for the back to make it complete. As you might know by now I like to add little extra's so I hand painted some squares.

GREY BLEACHED AND SOFT SWEATSHIRT

For this and another item (which is still for sale!) I upcycled an older upcycle. The part of the sleeves belonged to a button up which I bleached. The white fabric parts used to be bed sheets. The buttons are very old, maybe already 50 years. I got these from my grandma and added them for a little extra.

WAVY JEAN SHIRT

Wavy lines, trippy lines, please let me paint any sort of lines really! For this item I started with a bleached line. I painted over the bleach with the white fabric paint. For a while the item was finished like that, but since I didn't sell it yet I decided to add a little more paint and see how that would work out.

THE CHESHIRE CAT - WONDERLAND

The theme for this exposition got me so excited that very quickly knew I also wanted to make an item inspired by the Cheshire cat. I found this perfect purple colored and unique zip up at the second hand store in Hoorn and hand painted eyes and a mouth on an old curtain as patches. This same day I found a pink t-shirt of which I made the yarn, which I then added with a hand embroidery technique.

JURASSIC SWEAT-T-SHIRT

The Jurassic park sweat-t-shirt. I upcycled this shirt to be worn during the colder days but without having to wear a hoodie underneath the shirt. Therefore I took of the hood and sleeves of a ripped sweatshirt and added them to this shirt. I like to always add a little extra to my items and made some back scratches with a red fake leather crocodile pattern behind, which I got second hand from a friend's skirt.
